Open Question: windows 7 acquisition?

I would very much like a copy of windows 7, as my old computer had an ome version which can't be transfered. but as i have paid for it before, and that it is an average OS at best, which will not be used as more than a gaming platform (some linux variation for everything else), i do not want to pay a penny for it. any suggestions? links ect, thanks :D...
